Attached is a feedback form from a cooperating teacher from when I taught a high school class. My cooperating teacher provided me with constructive criticism on the things that I can improve on. On the other hand, he also pointed out the things that I did do well. This feedback form is evidence that I actively engage in professional development to further my knowledge and skills in CTE. I am also actively learning about different teaching strategies and learning strategies to implement into my classroom. I am learning from those around me, including my colleagues and mentors, to enhance student learning.
The artifact that I have chosen for this standard is my 3-year professional development plan. This plan outlines the things I want to focus on improving within the next three years. I will actively engage in professional development to enhance my knowledge and skills in CTE. This includes technical knowledge and skills within my specific CTE area, and also pedagogical knowledge and skills of effective teaching. I will connect with colleagues and learn from them to enhance student learning. I have a plan for how I will continue to develop professionally as a CTE educator. Throughout my years of teaching, I want to improve my teaching skills, grow my knowledge within my content area, and establish connections with those involved in my work.
