Basic outline of course
This is a graduate-level course, provided for graduate students of College of Education, which is aiming at providing the students with knowledge and ability, both theoretically and empirically, and at enriching them, to better understand linkages between education and development. Where we begin, we will examine what the “development” is, and what education can contribute to it or be contributed to it. In particular, we will be based on social scientific perspectives to understand the issues, particularly based on development economics and economics of education. Yet, the class welcomes and is open for students with diverge backgrounds—administration, economics, sociology, politics, psychology, anthropology etc.
