WHAT IS GOOGLE MY MAPS?
My Maps is a service through Google Maps that lets you use the Google Maps infrastructure to attach information to locations and create custom maps.
HOW TO USE GOOGLE MY MAPS AT SCHOOL?
Google MyMaps can be used, in order to create interactive maps for specific events or projects, to connect students and teachers in a visually effective way, or to facilitate a lesson on history, geography, English, science and almost all the subjects. There is no limit to possible maps, and they can be shared among the Consortium's schools.
Instructions:
✅ Go to the link and login to MyMaps using your personal Gmail account
✅ Add layers, or start mapping through points, lines or polygons.
✅ If you want to add external members to the map, you can just add their email addresses clicking on SHARE
WHAT IS Open Street Map?
OpenStreetMap is a collaborative project aimed at creating free content maps of the world. The project aims at a worldwide collection of geographical data, with the main purpose of creating maps and cartographies.
