Welcome to my Professional Learning Portfolio!

My name is Mackenzie Funk, and I am thrilled to continue my Bachelor of Education journey at Mount Royal University. I have chosen to pursue a minor in Humanities to explore a diverse range of subjects, including religion, philosophy, and history, which will enhance my understanding of these fields.

My primary objective as an educator is to cultivate a classroom environment where students feel secure and empowered to express their authentic selves. I aspire to inspire the next generation to articulate their perspectives with confidence and to recognize the value of education.

I am deeply committed to making learning both enjoyable and engaging. Additionally, I look forward to understanding each student’s unique learning styles and cultural backgrounds, and to integrating these insights into my teaching practices to better support their educational experiences.
