STAKEHOLDER: CHINESE GOVERNMENT
•Media control globally varies by government strength.
•Unlike Australia, the China’s government has absolute control over the mass media. Citizens face heavy monitoring and censorship of traditional media and online
•One example of censorship is website and keywords bans. ‘Google’ is a banned search engine, and Chinese search engines can block searches.
•Mass media is state-run and therefore supports the government, limiting dissent and preventing threats to the ruling Communist Party's control.
