Richard Randall was the firstborn son of an English nobleman Gently Gifted and eloquent. His family had frequent interactions with a small covenant nearby, including a number of Jerbiton. His canny mind and gentle Gift had him well into his teen years before he was identified as a gifted individual by a Redcap. The local covenant faked his death, with the aid of his younger brother, and when Richard finally came through his Gauntlet, he was an important part of his covenant. He did bear an eternal resentment against his brother for the betrayal, but the brilliant and hidden world of the Hermetic Society had him entranced.
While he never became a great magus, Richard was a skilled diplomat and negotiator, who became a poupar figure among the Jerbiton in Normandy. He had no known apprentices.
