„Slow Graphic Days” is the brainchild of an international group of artists. The symbol of the exhibition and the entire artistic undertaking was designed by Belarusian artist Alex Novitski: “It is a dragonfly that stays in the air without moving (understood as the movement of the center of gravity) relative to the Earth. We want the interaction with the graphics to make viewers stop for a moment, stare, and become interested.”
The presented works were extremely diverse, showing different techniques, possibilities, different ways of using paper and looking at the world.
"We live fast, much too fast, we don't have time for anything, to stop, to take an interest, for the pleasure that comes from being in contact with art... Our world is slowly closing in on the small screen of a smartphone or tablet; we click, scroll, we don't think about the world," said Mark Maksimovich, one of the artists who started and is participating in the project, in an interview with Radio Poznań.
The exhibition aims to make viewers stop and become a pretext for conversation – with themselves, with others, with friends, with artists.
