During 9 days, 7 selected artists explored the topic of post truth from different perspectives, focusing on the growing problem of disinformation and fake news and how it could be countered through critical thinking, media literacy and other artistic strategies. This collaborative hybrid program combined a transdisciplinary training approach to post truth together with a micro collaborative residency finalising in a presentation as a collaborative exhibition in the Galeria u Jezuitów Centrum Integracji Kulturalnej.
The program began in project space Patria (Skrzetuszwo) where participants lived together while learning about the topic. We had some invited researchers from different disciplines who sparked questions to reflect and build from continuing with some experiential collaborative activities including the field trip to the museum Centrum Edukacji Regionalnej Kasztelanii Ostrowskiej where participant artists had the opportunity to respond to the island contained in this space with some ephemeral artistic interventions.
Thanks to the selected artists who managed to create very inspiring and meaningful artistic projects and everyone else involved who made it happen.
This process was led by the artist and curator Seila Fernández Arconada who designed and delivered the program together with the local coordinator Taisiia Shkarlinska from Logos Poland who took care of all logistics to make the project happen.
This project has been organized by Lernlabor in partnership with Logos Poland and financed by the @auswaertigesamt and #civilsocietycooperation
