Meet Your Teacher

   This year is my tenth year as a teacher with Pacific Coast Academy.

I will be working with my homeroom students, in addition to working as a SPARK Math/Science teacher and Art in Motion teacher. Prior to becoming an Inspire/PCA teacher, I taught for California Virtual Academies for 7 years. Prior to that, I taught in the traditional classroom for twelve years. I hold 2 teaching credentials... California Professional Clear K-12 Bilingual Cross-Cultural Specialist and Multiple-Subjects credentials. I also earned a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and English as a Second Language, and 2 Bachelor's degrees... in Applied Psychology and Spanish.

I currently live in Linda Vista with my two children (Henry is 21... in his last year at Miramar College and plans to start the Fire Academy next year, and Emma is 23... just graduated from SDSU with a degree in 3 fields, Child and Family development, Journalism, and Spanish), and our two cats, Blanca and Farrah. I like to relax by swimming, riding bikes, listening to music, hanging out with my family and friends, writing, drawing, and reading.
