We were thrilled to have Romie & Ace as our Liminal Summers interns! Suggested to Maddie by a fellow coworker, they were brought onto the team to learn more about what they studied in high school, and prepare them for college and future internships to come!
They shined as superstars and we want to showcase what they learned through their time at Liminal Summers
To make sure Ace & Romie got a comprehensive view of the whole anim pipeline, they were assigned a variety of pipeline tasks to get a hands-on experience.
They learned character design, created animation tests, boarded small sequences, learned how to read and create production documents, and did an almost 3 hour long class on the dos and don'ts of the animation industry to be fully prepared to enter it.
Ace & Romie worked on various animation tests to use as promotion for Liminal Summers across social media, but also took detailed note on how characters would behave, how their muscle systems would move, and what kind of personality lent to the story the best.

Our interns also got experience designing characters. They worked on characters who hadn't yet been designed & plussed incidentals to help create a finished look. They worked on turns, addressing character notes, finding references, and color!

After her first board assignment delivery, Ace proved she was ready to launch into some real-deal boards.
She was quickly shifted to focus on helping the board team, creating some amazing work for EP 103 and then leading the charge for roughs on EP 105!
