Maddie is adamant that everyone in animation should learn beyond their role.
In order to expose the team to as many roles and pipeline steps as possible, she called up all her professional friends!
Masterclasses were open to all no matter your role. Voicing a character? Come learn to board! Creating props? Let's talk about story 101.
These were only a few of the masterclasses the Liminal Summers Team were exposed to over our production calendar.

Liminal Summers is a comedy. Therefore, you must do your comedic homework and study the greats.
Every team member had to do their research. They had to dissect what made the greats great. Here are some of who/what we studied
Physical comedy & timing,
along with movement in stunts.
Facial expressions & raising stakes.
Studied show for ensemble comedy.
Earning your pauses in comedy.
Feeling out a build in action.
Simplicity & Formula are not enemies to comedy.
How to manipulate the energy in a room to make comedy. Ensemble study.
Specific study: Ghost of A. Chantz- helping showcase how horror & comedy are sisters.
We pay omage to a couple other movies! And pull them up as study reference!
