The website talks about how Greek colonists, and roman wanted to civilize Italy because of their rich soil. I learned that a lot of people wanted to live in Italy for their rich soil to raise crops... I wonder how the distribution of land in the 1400 affected the current distribution of wealth, and access to food resources? I would expect to experience some of this throughout our travels, but specifically in bigger cities however the smaller towns might have experiences less change or homogenization... It includes topics on Italian food, economy, and geography. Another topic this source talks about are foods for special occasions.
