Joanna's Project Smiley Day is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at raising awareness about menstrual hygiene. Designed as a comprehensive outreach program, it has received widespread recognition at both the state and national levels Hailing from the picturesque town of Mananthavady in Wayanad, Kerala, Joanna is a 16-year-old +1 science student at GVHSS Mananthavady. Joanna's achievements speak volumes, with a stellar academic record and a dream to become a pediatric doctor. However, her true passion lies in social service, where she shines brightest. Joanna's accolades include prestigious awards such as Best Reporter in Mathrubhumi SEED 2021, Mission Dreams Miss India Miss-Talented 2022-23, and being recognized as a Ujjwala Baalyam Awardee by the Kerala Women and Child Development Department in 2022, among others. Notably, Joanna is also the recipient of the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Bala Prathibha Award in 2023 and an International Star Kids Star Achiever Awardee in 2024. Beyond her accolades, Joanna is also a talented writer, having penned Blooms of Fiery Elegance, a realistic fiction work that eloquently expresses the experiences of a ten-year-old girl named Sarah navigating her menstrual journey.
