The Advisory Board of Koodu Foundation was constituted by the Founding President, George Mathews with the vision of strengthening the organization through committed leadership, accountability, and value-based service. The Foundation firmly believes that positions and promotions within the organisation must be earned through dedication, responsibility, and sincere contribution towards the mission and vision of Koodu Foundation.
In this regard, preference for promotion to the Advisory Board and higher responsibilities shall be given to those members of the Core Committee who demonstrate meritorious work, consistent administrative responsibility, active participation, leadership qualities, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the Foundation. Individuals who uphold the mission, vision, discipline, and spirit of Koodu Foundation, and who carry the organization close to their hearts with sincerity and passion, shall always be recognized and entrusted with greater responsibilities for the growth and future of the Foundation.
Parvathy Raj serves as President of the Koodu Foundation, where she has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing the Healing Hearts project to promote mental health awareness. She is widely recognized as an organizer par excellence, a dedicated volunteer, a powerful administrator, and an exceptional leader within the organization. Parvathy's passion for continuous learning and her commitment to making a positive impact drive her to excel in every endeavour she undertakes. Her enchanting performances in stage competitions like extempore, mono act, etc., have not only earned her several prizes but have also deeply touched and won the hearts of the audience. Her multifaceted interests and dedication to personal growth make her a valuable asset to the organization and a role model for aspiring talents. Currently pursuing a B.Com LLB at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kalamassery, she also harbours a deep passion for law and aims to leverage her legal education to contribute meaningfully to society. Parvathy Raj has served as the Acting President and Vice President Interim of the Koodu Foundation, demonstrating strong leadership and commitment during her tenure. Her contributions have been invaluable in steering the organization forward.
George Mathews currently serves as the Secretary of Koodu Foundation, contributing with dedication, vision, and administrative leadership towards the growth and strengthening of the organisation. As one of the key pillars behind the Foundation’s activities and organisational framework, he plays an active role in planning, coordination, documentation, communication, and the effective execution of the Foundation’s mission and vision. Known for his commitment, responsiveness, and leadership qualities, George Mathews continues to inspire members through his disciplined approach, creative initiatives, and unwavering passion for social service, youth empowerment, and community-oriented activities. Through his service as Secretary, he remains committed to fostering unity, responsibility, and meaningful impact within Koodu Foundation and beyond.
Sara Mathews currently serves as the Treasurer of Koodu Foundation, undertaking her responsibilities with sincerity, accountability, and dedication. Prior to assuming the role of Treasurer, she served as an Executive Committee Member, where she actively contributed to the organisational activities and growth of the Foundation. Her consistent involvement, responsible approach, and commitment towards the mission and vision of Koodu Foundation earned her greater responsibilities within the organisation. As Treasurer, Sara Mathews plays an important role in maintaining financial discipline, supporting administrative functions, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the Foundation’s initiatives. Through her committed service and cooperative spirit, she continues to strengthen the values and organisational integrity of Koodu Foundation.
Archa A.S. currently serves as the Vice President of Koodu Foundation, carrying out her responsibilities with commitment, sincerity, and a strong sense of leadership. As an active member of the Foundation’s administrative team, she contributes significantly to organisational coordination, team support, programme execution, and the promotion of the mission and vision of Koodu Foundation. Her dedication, responsible involvement, and cooperative spirit have made her an integral part of the Foundation’s growth and activities. Through her service as Vice President, Archa A.S. continues to encourage teamwork, inspire fellow members, and uphold the values and objectives of Koodu Foundation with passion and responsibility.
Sanoop Namboothiri K.A. stands as a dynamic force within the Koodu Foundation, serving as the Joint Secretary where his fervour for science, music, and public speaking radiates in everything he does. A passionate quizzer with an insatiable curiosity for the world around him, Sanoop has not only excelled in numerous extempore speaking and quiz competitions but has also proven his sharp intellect and quick thinking time and again.
As the Project Director of Curious, Koodu Foundation's flagship initiative, Sanoop harnesses his enthusiasm for knowledge to craft engaging and thought-provoking programs that challenge and inspire participants. His dynamic leadership and unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of curiosity have transformed Curious into a powerful platform for intellectual growth and exploration.
Beyond his roles in education and leadership, Sanoop is a skilled musician and public speaker, captivating audiences with his multifaceted talents. His ability to inspire others and make a meaningful impact resonates not only within the foundation but also throughout the wider community. Sanoop Namboothiri is truly a catalyst for change, igniting passion and knowledge in everyone he encounters.
Lijo C. serves as an Executive Committee Member of Koodu Foundation, contributing actively towards the organisation’s activities, programmes, and administrative initiatives with dedication and responsibility. As a committed member of the Foundation, he plays a supportive role in strengthening teamwork, coordinating organisational efforts, and promoting the mission and vision of Koodu Foundation through sincere involvement and service. His cooperative nature, willingness to take up responsibilities, and positive participation in various initiatives reflect his commitment to the values and objectives of the Foundation. Meet George Mathews, affectionately known as GM, the visionary Founding President and the Founding Director of Academic and Research Development (A&RD) of the Koodu Foundation. Hailing from the picturesque village of Chenkulam in Kollam, Kerala, George is a Doctoral Researcher at the Department of English, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. Beyond his academic pursuits, GM is a multifaceted individual with a passion for social service, creative writing, and public speaking. His love for literature and exploration fuels his pursuits as a creative writer and avid traveller. George's compelling words ignite inspiration and empowerment, as he leads numerous impactful projects and collaborates with diverse organizations, leaving an indelible mark on every endeavour he undertakes. George embodies the essence of 'Chalikuka Chalippikukka', infusing every endeavour with bold and transformative leadership, unleashing waves of hope and catalyzing powerful, lasting change around him. A true philanthropist at heart, he excels in volunteerism, leadership, and administration, playing a pivotal role in the journey of the Koodu Foundation. He finds joy in engaging in camps and sessions for children, leaving a lasting impact on young minds.
S. Syamlal, fondly called Pattazhy, stands as a beacon of dedication and leadership within the Koodu Foundation. Having served as its Founding Secretary, he has woven a rich tapestry of experience through active participation in numerous NGOs across the state. His journey epitomises a deep-rooted commitment to community service. Syamlal’s unwavering dedication and hands-on approach have galvanised volunteers and played a pivotal role in steering the Foundation toward impactful initiatives.
Gaining valuable insights from his experience as a National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteer at both the school and college levels, Syamlal is cherished for his eloquent words and profound insights. A gifted writer, his contributions add depth and beauty to the fabric of the Koodu Foundation. His selfless dedication shone brightly during Kerala’s COVID-19 pandemic and flood disasters, where he tirelessly served those in need, embodying the true spirit of compassion and resilience. His visionary leadership, coupled with his boundless enthusiasm for service, continues to inspire countless individuals to contribute meaningfully toward creating a better world.
Bhadra Mahesh stands as the Former Vice President of the Koodu Foundation, bringing with her a unique blend of artistic passion and unwavering dedication to social causes. Her leadership prowess, evident in her strategic vision and ability to inspire, has propelled the Foundation to new heights. Bhadra's commitment to volunteerism extends beyond her role, as she actively engages in community outreach programs and lends her administrative expertise to ensure their success. With her dynamic leadership, boundless enthusiasm, and heart dedicated to service, Bhadra Mahesh continues to be a driving force in shaping the Koodu Foundation's mission of creating positive change.
Koodu Foundation owes its existence and success to the visionary leadership and unwavering dedication of its founding patrons: George Mathews (Founding President), S Syamlal (Founding Secretary) and Bhadra Mahesh (Former Vice President). The foundational bylaw and organisational framework of Koodu Foundation were meticulously penned and structured by George Mathews. Established on 15 August 2020 and registered as an NGO on 12 October 2022, these remarkable individuals have played instrumental roles in shaping the organization's mission and driving impactful initiatives forward. Their collective vision, commitment to social welfare, and innovative approaches have paved the way for the Koodu Foundation to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many. These leaders also designed an organizational structure that fosters collaboration, creativity, and sustainable growth.
