THE CORNER HOTEL ALEXANDRA

The brief on this project was to take a small, unusable and unsightly space between the bottle shop drive through and the back of the Pub and turn it into an outdoor Beer Garden. A large retaining wall had to be built at the back of the Hotel dining room and stairs replaced to access the garden . A new area for services was incorporated in the design as well as a ramp for trolley access to the kitchen. The planting is predominately espaliered fruit trees and herbs that can be used in the kitchen. Uplighting the existing Liquidamber and Birch trees creates a beautiful place to dine at night on a warm summer evening.
