What should you know about chronic kidney disease stage 2?

Chronic kidney disease, also called CKD is a long-term illness that damages the filters of the kidneys. It is characterized by the damage to the filters of the kidneys that progress on a scale of five stages.

Stage 1 means the damage to the kidney function is mild while stage 5 is the last stage of the kidney disease. Stage 2, on the other hand, is recorded as mild or minor damage to the renal.

The goal of chronic kidney disease medicine by Ayurveda is to slow down the progression of kidney disease and to reverse the damage. Stage 2 is still an opportunity to recover from a mild function over and stop it from getting worse.

How can you diagnose stage 2 of chronic kidney disease?

To examine for CKD, the doctor usually takes blood and urine tests. Normally, the estimated glomerular filtration rate is the test done to know how much kidney function is left. eGFR more than 90 is considered to have a healthy kidney function while less than 15 means, end-stage renal failure. Having a low eGFR means the blood has creatinine, amino acid, and other wastes in the blood as the kidneys are able to filter them out. In stage 2, the GFR level stays between 60 and 89.

Abnormal high creatinine is another measurement of low kidney function for which you will need ayurvedic chronic kidney disease medicine.

Stage 2 symptoms and signs

In this stage, the kidney function is still mild and the kidneys calmly do their function without any complications. Since the kidneys carry out their work, this stage is hard to diagnose for chronic kidney disease.

Stage 2 kidney diseases are asymptomatic and the noticeable signs do not appear until a person stages to 3.

The possible signs that appear at this stage include:

  • Darker urine like yellow, red, and orange

  • Increased or decreased urination

  • Fatigue

  • High blood pressure

  • Fluid retention

  • Pain in the lower back

  • Muscle cramps at night

  • Insomnia

  • Dry or itchy skin

Causes of stage 2 chronic kidney disease

Chronic kidney disease is caused by the factors that directly or indirectly decrease kidney function. When these conditions harm the body, the kidney also gets affected and starts losing its function. Resultant, waste deposits in the blood and ultimately raises blood pressure. High blood pressure in return causes harm to the kidney function progressing to the advanced stages ending with end-stage renal failure.

The most common causes of kidney disease include:
