How Ayurveda manages the diet of Chronic kidney failure patients?

The inception of sacred Ayurveda happened years and centuries ago. It was the only available method that captivated everyone’s attention for living their life disease-free. The problems took a rage when mankind started to find comfort in the manmade methods of healing. Knowing the fact that nothing heals and feels better than the natural ethics. As for kidney diseases, Ayurveda chronic kidney failure diet is still an open source for all to recover from the damage done in the human anatomy.

During kidney diseases, the first need of change occurs in the diet and then the lifestyle. Ayurveda's chronic kidney failure diet assures the inclusion of a healthy and kidney-friendly diet by the deep analysis of patients’ reports and physical conditions. The hypothetical view of medical cases handled by the team and kidney expert Dr. Puneet Dhawan of Karma Ayurveda says that the management of diet is based on the adequate amounts of electrolytes, minerals, vitamins, and all the other essential nutrients. Dairy products are considered as one of the healthiest options to stay healthy and maintain the bone health. But did you know that it will worsen your health if you are a kidney patient?

Let us take an example of one such dairy product ‘curd’. It is a healthy milk product that helps in easing digestion and other ample benefits. Sadly, it is excluded from the Ayurveda chronic kidney failure diet.

Curd is a popular dairy product that is commonly found in the refrigerators of many but especially in India. It is abundant in properties like protein, phosphorus, fat and carbohydrates. It appears to be like thickened milk and tastes piquant. It is best known for the protection of bone health and kidney health. If we talk specifically about kidney patients then they might have to give up on eating curd. As per the Ayurveda Chronic Kidney Diet, curd for kidney patients is not a good choice because of the nutrients it is rich in.

As we discussed earlier that the nutrients present in dairy products are a great source of protein and phosphorus, for the same reason curd for kidney patients is not a good option. During renal diseases, a patient may suffer from problems like an accumulation of electrolytes and minerals in the blood. Consuming curd will only be helping in elevating the electrolyte levels than reducing. For the same reason, it is not a good option for kidney patients suffering from the problem of Proteinuria. The majority of cases with Proteinuria have only the leakage of protein but in rare cases, Proteinuria can be because of the over-production of protein in the body. In these rare cases, dieticians and nephrologists don’t recommend consuming curd and instead provide protein-binding food options.

Renal diseases are progressive and it can be fatal in no time if left untreated. Today, the priority of such patients is either dialysis or kidney transplant. None of them consider the bonafide treatment that Ayurveda can provide, they either don’t know about it or live in a dilemma. Patients, who are treating their kidneys with an artificial procedure like dialysis, can consume curd that too only after the consent of their healthcare providers. However as per the Ayurveda chronic kidney diet, it is not the safest choice to proceed with.

The healthcare providers or the nephrologists allow the consumption of curd by kidney patients because, during the procedure of dialysis, there is no particular way to filter out the waste as kidneys do. All the nutrients are removed and then added back to the blood of a human body. It is a painful procedure performed with the help of a dialyzer, a type of equipment.

Kidneys are the organs that are responsible to do a lot of things to keep your body healthy. Kidneys filter waste products from your blood to excrete them through the urine. Therefore, sometimes kidneys become diseased and cannot do any work that caused problems like nausea, weakness, high blood pressure, high creatinine level, and many more. To get rid of your kidney problems, you need to consider the Ayurveda chronic kidney failure diet and avail the utmost benefits for your health.
