General changes
Final two decks (Water, Egg) added
Deck order changed (Bone and Blood swapped)
Bone deck updated
Blood and Free decks added (current total of 6 decks)
FIXED Bug: Selecting a locked deck will give the player the selected deck based on its location in the deck select menu. If the bottom row is selected, it will default to the Vanilla deck.
Starter decks added, per patch notes:
Unlockable themed Starter Decks that define your initial cards other than the Rabbit Pelts. There are currently 4 including the "Vanilla" deck. 4 more will be added in a later update.
CURRENTLY REVISING FOR V0.28. Water, Bone, and Egg ratings are WIPs, will update as we see more use.
Choosing a deck really depends on your play style and how much RNG you’re willing to deal with, but here is an at-a-glance quick reference chart.
1 Blood deck is extremely reliable when using hand manipulation. Without hand manipulation, however, it sucks becomes extremely unreliable.
2 Mantis deck becomes more reliable with hand manip, though it’s usable without relying on it.
Reliability refers to the ability to consistently achieve the deck's average strength, and the ability to consistently use the necessary cards.
All Starter Decks.
Stoat, Bullfrog, Wolf
Unlocked by default.
Called "Vanilla" in the assets.
Vanilla is best for its flexibility. It can grow into a variety of strategies, since it’s got decent fallback options if your goal strategy is missing needed elements.
Black Goat, Moose Buck, Mole
Unlocked by beating Challenge Level 2.
Called "MooseBlood" in the assets.
Blood deck is best played using hand manipulation - without it, you need to be able to stall until you can get your high-cost cards out. When using hand manipulation, an ideal strategy is to put Hoarder on your Black Goat. The idea is to guarantee your Goat in your opening hand, then play the Goat to activate Hoarder and grab your wincon, wherever it is in your deck.
Changes
Swapped with Bone Deck in unlock order. Previously unlocked at CL7.
Ant Queen, Flying Ant, Skunk
Unlocked by beating Challenge Level 3.
Called "Ants" in the assets.

Bugs
V0.22: FIXEDAs a result of the bug allowing you to pick and play with locked decks, you can play with the Flying Ant before it’s unlocked.
Mantis God, Ring Worm, Ring Worm
Unlocked by beating Challenge Level 5.
Called "MantisGod" in the assets.
The central idea of the Mantis Deck is to use the Ring Worms to kill the survivors, then buff the everloving fuck out of the Mantis God. However, sometimes the survivors aren't hungry, and you end up with a couple of buff Ring Worms. In that case, you can slap some sigils on the Worms and fuse them into the Ultimate Worm instead.
The Annoying Starters challenge is useful with the Mantis Deck, as it makes it easier to get rid of extra Ring Worms - they can now be sacrificed at sigil transfer nodes.
Changes
Weak Start removed.
Weak Start does not make any difference to the Mantis deck, effectively giving you 10 free Challenge Points.
Kingfisher, Kingfisher, Great Kraken
Unlocked by beating Challenge Level 6.
Called "SubmergeBirds" in the assets.
The Great Kraken is a Rare card that was previously only available in Act 2.
This is currently the only known way to obtain a Great Kraken in your deck.
Boy Syrup#1337:
The Water Deck focuses on trying to deal good damage to your enemy before they can do so to you, as your primary cards are unable to tank damage for you. The two kingfishers will likely be what your deck centers around, as Mycoing them together is a great way to get a cheap and powerful card. Putting a sigil that benefits from flying on each one before combining makes this strategy even better, such as brood parasite or bifur/trifur/double strike.
The Kraken serves as a fun bonus to this deck, the random tentacles you can get from it can be useful, but are unreliable due to being luck based. The closest thing to strategy you can pull off with the Kraken is putting it on the left side of the board, as this will greatly increase the effectiveness of the bell tentacle, while not affecting the other two tentacles negatively.
Raccoon, Dire Wolf Pup, Coyote
Unlocked by beating Challenge Level 7.
Called "Bones" in the assets.
Put bone generator sigils (Bone Digger, Scavenger, Bone King) on other low cost cards and keep your deck slim.
Basically, you're going back to the time of Before We Knew The Topdeck Algorithm Was A Thing, and the main strategy recommended was "keep a slim deck to maximize your odds of pulling the cards you need." Which is still a viable strategy, just a tad harder to pull off.
Bone works best as a supplement to Blood cards. You want to have a slim deck with a few blood cards to start you off, and/or sigils on your Bone cards to let you lead into your stronger cards. Warren is a recommended card for this. Low Bone costs like Possum are good - slap Hoarder or Bone King on a Possum to grab other cards or get 2 free bones on play, respectively.
The hardest part of a deck that uses bones is accounting for an unplayable starting hand. Counter this by having only a few cards, and either make those cards strong or make them lead into your strong cards, so all your possible starting hands are good. Bone Lord boons are good - even if you get a couple of Minor Boons, rather than a Major, you can still use that with low bone costs to get the ball rolling.
Boy Syrup#1337:
The Zero Cost deck is very weak starting out, due to the very low attacking power you have at the start, but it can quickly snowball into a very powerful deck with effective strategy. Putting good sigils that benefit from being able to be played for free on your cards is a good idea, and can allow your free cards to support you while you get up harder hitters. Alternatively, you can buff up the free cards attack instead (Usually the Geck, but the others can work.), allowing you to immediately start off the battle with a high amount of damage. This deck is one of the most reliable once set up, not getting worse without the use of hand-manipulation.
Bugs

Weak Start removed.
TADPOLE META
TADPOLE DOES NOT EVOLVE INTO WEAK BULLFROG. THANK YOU M0xes#3103 FOR THE VIDEO!!!
Weak Start does not make any difference to the Free deck, effectively giving you 10 free Challenge Points.
Curious Egg, Curious Egg, Curious Egg
Unlocked by beating Challenge Level 11.
Called "HydraEggs" in the assets.
This is currently the only way to obtain a Curious Egg in your deck.
The easiest way to play with the Egg deck is to ditch the Eggs altogether. While the Hydra is a decent card, getting the cards to fulfill its requirements can bloat your deck, and, since the Hydra does not stay hatched permanently, you need to keep those cards to keep using it. However, a well-thought-out deck and a buffed Hydra can easily win battles. The hard part is just getting there.
If you play without bothering about hatching the Hydra, the Eggs are useful as cheap sacrifices, since they only cost 1 Bone. They also provide a great opportunity for fusing at the Mycologists.
