With a background that spans theatre stages, film sets, and red carpets, Dr. Suzanne Chambliss is a powerhouse in costume design, and we’re thrilled to have her on our judging panel!
Suzanne holds a BFA in Theatre from Utah State University, an MFA in Design & Technical Theatre (specializing in Costumes and Makeup) from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a PhD in Theatre History, Dramatic Literature, and Criticism from LSU, with a side of Arts Education, of course. Over the last 15+ years, she’s worked her magic on more than sixty productions, from indie darlings to box office hits, including Fear the Walking Dead, The Magnificent Seven, and even Green Lantern (yes, that one), and even a few TV favorites.
A proud member of IATSE Local 478 and the Costume Designers Guild Local 892, she splits her creative energy between Hollywood and Louisiana’s vibrant arts scene, where she still helps out with various theatre groups in the Baton Rouge area to keep her stage roots strong.
Born in Michigan and raised across the Northeast, Suzanne’s background is as colorful as the costumes she creates. Whether it’s transforming a script into stunning visuals or judging craftsmanship with a keen, creative eye, she brings both expertise and enthusiasm to everything she does.
