My love for anime and all things “nerdy” started thanks to my brother, who introduced me to a whole new world of storytelling. I have vivid memories of staying up late to catch episodes of Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, and Tokyo Mew Mew. That passion quickly grew into a love for gaming, from The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing to my current obsession: Baldur’s Gate 3.
Through these stories and experiences, I’ve come to appreciate how each of us is living out our own narrative... every person their own main character. The values of friendship, strength, and individuality have resonated with me deeply, reminding me that even in fantasy, we find powerful truths about our real lives. Each adventure is a chance to learn, grow, and connect.
My brother and I created Just Another Con to be more than just an event, we wanted it to be a sanctuary. Many of us in fandom spaces have experienced bullying, stereotyping, or simply feeling out of place. Life can be tough enough. This convention is about building a space where everyone can be fully themselves, no matter what fandom they love, and to connect with others who share that passion. We may be the organizers, but this is YOUR convention. Your ideas, your feedback, and your energy will shape it, we’re just here to help bring it all to life.
Professionally, I work as a Human Resources Business Partner, specializing in employee relations. I hold a bachelor’s in Mass Communication, a minor in Sociology, and a Master’s in Leadership and Human Resource Development. These experiences give me a unique lens for understanding how to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment, both in the workplace and now, in the world of Just Another Con.
I’m so excited for this journey ahead. Let’s build something amazing together, a con that truly reflects our community and everything we stand for.
