Selection Goals

The JRMS librarian seeks to achieve the following goals through the selection policies and process:

1. Reflect the diversity of viewpoints, abilities, beliefs, cultures, and languages found in the community and the students of JRMS so students can see themselves and their experiences represented in the collection and learn about cultures and experiences different from their own.

2. Enhance, enrich, and support the curriculum of both core and elective classes.

3. Provide a variety of texts, genres, and formats to build a culture of literacy and a love of reading in the students and faculty of JRMS.
