Selection Policies

Statement of Responsibility

The Jarrell ISD school board is legally responsible for the selection of library materials but delegates authority for selection to each campus librarian.  The JRMS librarian is responsible for the selection of library program materials for the campus and may consult with and receive input on materials from campus teachers, administrators, student representatives, and other JISD campus librarians. The librarian will capture student requests through an online form linked on the library website and posted as a QR code in the library. Teacher may make requests for classroom needs or request new materials through district email or by speaking directly to the librarian.
