The students found out if their homesteader "proved up" to be abkle to keep their land, or had to move on. We also explored some of the issues they had with the new railroad industry and how if affected their income and debt. We learned about the Populist Party and some of the requests they had that eventually made it into the laws, even though the party itself was dissolved into the Democratic Party.
