This morning in science we reviewed the makeup of an atom; its subparticles. We took notes on its components and how they function. We then went on to learn about the shells surrounding the nucleus and its capacity of holding electrons. Make note that the elements we learned about this morning pertain only to the outer blocks of the periodic table. Homework will be to create the structure of these elements. The videos posted below can help in understanding how to do this. Then students will create 3 cards of their choice showcasing the element information and a picture of the element's atom, including nucleus, protons, neutrons, electrons and shells.

Thhis morning we reviewed unit 5 by creating a timeline of events that led up to the American revolution. Then we rested our brains with some tea time as we listened about Henry Longfellow and his poem about the night of Paul Revere's ride.
