Artifact Description: In this artifact, I connected with a store in the community to make students aware of the expectations of going ans shopping at any community store. I displayed professionalism with the appropriate behavior when shopping and asking for help when struggling to find items in the grocery list.

IPTS Connection: The competent teacher models professional behavior that reflects honesty, integrity, personal responsibility, confidentiality, altruism and respect (9I). Communicates relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents or guardians, and peers, using a variety of technology and digital-age media and formats (9M). Professional and respectful behavior was displayed during my time shopping at the store. Better yet, placed my production in Youtube platform for parents to see the modeling example and expectation I provided them.

Learning Description: The students loved the video connection I made with the family and the shopping activities that followed along after the clip. The students were engaged and attentive during the video and the classroom activities. I made the video public for the students and parents to see the shopping expectations.

Artifact Description: This artifact training helped me understand my role as a mandated reporter at all times. It's important to collaborate and talk to any support staff when noticing something indifferent from any student.

IPTS Connection: The competent teacher knows laws and rules (e.g., mandatory reporting, sexual misconduct, corporal punishment) as a foundation for the fair and just treatment of all students and their families in the classroom and school (9b).

Learning Description: As an educator it's important to understand your role and report anything to an administrator and support staff. Your voice has great significance to improve any situation.
