Artifact Description: This artifact was created in my cooking lesson plan. For which used both the English and Spanish languages throughout the google slides. The. purpose for this lesson plan was to facilitate the student's learning and comprehension throughout the cooking process. Using both languages maximizes students learning throughout the cooking segment.
IPTS Connection: The competent teacher understands the spectrum of student diversity and the assets that each student brings to learning across the curriculum (1A). The goal of the teacher is to maximize each student's potential and by doing that it's important to modify the lesson for a better understanding to each student.
Learning Description: Making the powerpoint in both languages, helped the students understand the expectations and process of cooking throughout this segment. I printed the copies for the students to take to the kitchen to make their learning easier.

Artifact Description: This artifact was used in the school store to assist the lower functioning students find the items in the grocery list. The following artifact facilitated the student's learning by the images provided and the location the item was found in the school store. The artifact prepares the student for a real life experience in an actual store.
IPTS Connection: understands how each student constructs knowledge, acquires skills, and develops effective and efficient critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities (1B). Each student made used of the artifact to fulfill shopping list expectations and critically think when looking for an item.
Learning Description: Students enjoyed the classroom activity and exploring the school store in search for the items in the grocery list. Students used their prior knowledge to identify the items in the store throughout the lesson. The importance of providing visuals helped me provide assistance to all my diverse students.
