2014-1025 Giving Tree Fundraiser

Oct 25, 2014 - Jersey City,NJ. JCI North Jersey initiated a fundraiser at the OctoberPhest Festival in Downtown Jersey dubbing the project as The Giving Tree. The fundraiser is for their Christmas goal which is to provide essential/basic items for the homeless in 6 shelters in Jersey City.

A donation of $1 allows the giver to place a christmas ball to the tree. A donation of $2 allows the giver to get a ball and get a candy cane. And the $10 donation allows the giver to get a personalized ornament which the Jaycees and volunteering friends made. See how creative they can be.

The Jaycees had a fun day not only to catch up with friends and family, but to also do something worthwhile for the community. Bonding+Giving=Fun

This is only one of the few fundraisers for this end-goal project. Please watch out for the next fundraiser through our Official Event Page. It may be a Concert or a Karaoke Night and we will be bringing our Giving Tree to make it brighter.— with Christine Rapada

Oct 18, 2014 - JCI North Jersey's Follow up Project Planning for December's Christmas for the Homeless project. We are excited to have the three fundraising project ideas in line to achieve our goal.

2014-1015 Gold Coast Bike Tour

Oct 5, 2014- Jersey City, NJ. In the spirit of bonding a camaraderie, several members of JCI North Jersey initiated a bike tour for fun and leisure. It started with 4-5 bikers which became 10 after a week of contemplation; which became 20 after 2 weeks, and just before October came almost 40 people registered to be part of the event.

Thanks to the family and friends from the Fil Am Tri Club who joined the team and made the tour more exciting. We are looking forward to another one after the wintry season

To honor the 9/11 victims who lived in Jersey City, the JCI North Jersey members, families, and friends (In partnership with Jersey Cares and NJ Trees project), made their first local community development service by planting new trees inside the Liberty State Park in Jersey City

JCI Philippine-New York's Kids Safety Day that my friends organized in Queens, NY in TFC's NYChika in the City by Monette Rivera. Great job Reggie Rosales Torrejon, Marjerie Rosales-Taway, Joey Taway, Jaime Torrejon, Fanny Cano, Maria; The chapter is spearheaded by Zultan Bermudez this year. Aug 23, 2014 Jersey City, NJ - JCI North Jersey celebrates their first official event as an organization with family and friends. There were games, food, view of New York City, and the awesome spirit of camaraderie. Thanks to all who joined us yesterday!
