After breakfast, drive to Marangu village. Stay with a Chagga family and have the opportunity to witness Chagga culture with a visit to a traditional Chagga house. Participate with members of the family in zero-grazing livestock feeding, coffee picking, processing, and finally tasting coffee that you have prepared and cooked yourself, along with local food. Enjoy lunch at the family house, prepared by yourself with the Chagga woman. Enjoy machalari and mtori, the famous Chagga food.
Visit the famous Ndoro Waterfalls, which provide a panoramic viewpoint ideal for photographing waterfalls and Mount Kilimanjaro. Next, visit the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate, where you'll receive explanations about its history, ecological features, and more, with time to take photos.
The waterfalls are situated in the Kilimanjaro National Park, at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. The source of the water comes directly from the glacier on top of Kilimanjaro. You'll discover splendid green areas where the most fantastic trees and exotic plants also thrive. It's about a 40-minute drive from Moshi town, where you can enjoy a very nice view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Located in the beautiful countryside of Marangu and surrounded by lush landscapes, you will find this hidden waterfall.
At the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Ndoro Waterfall is one of the most popular and largest waterfalls in the area. A one-hour hike, descending through the stunning green landscapes of Chagga land (the largest tribe in Tanzania), will bring you to this impressive waterfall. Here, you will have the opportunity to stand underneath the waterfall, jump off one, go swimming in the refreshing water, and enjoy a well-deserved break in the beautiful valley.
