This is a mock poster/flyer for an event about sculptures. I wanted to catch the eye of students, and demonstrate what the subject is.
Contrast: I tried to create as much contrast as I could between the text and the background. There is contrast between the two types of text, and I brought out the surrounding "frame" to create a museumish experience.
Repition: There is repeated color everywhere. The design is nearly monochromatic, but there is also a stripe of orange that repeats in the sculptures and in the backgrounds.
Alignment: Left alignment is used to follow lines in the rectangles.
Proximity: I separated the text into different boxes to demonstrate their difference, additionally, the sculpture's different pieces are kept near each other.
Color: This is arguably the strongest part of the piece, the background and the sculpture blend nicely, and within the fluid background is a theme of intrigue and curiosity.
