This is a flyer/advertisement for a plant care company I am hoping to work for soon! I would imagine this could be posted on bulletins or given out at businesses.
How does this avoid being CRAP?
Contrast: The purple and green contrast is used throughout. The headline and footer are both blocked out in purple tones. Title and subtitles are larger and in different colors and fonts than the body text. Font selection perpetuates contrast with a decorative header, modern slab serif subtitles, and sans serif body text.
Repetition: Repeated use of color, font sizing, and bolding.
Alignment: Strong left alignment throughout. A ten-column grid guided the design, so spaces are even.
Proximity: Each group of information is near its subtitle. Contact info on the footer is grouped logically.
Color: The green was taken from the company's current branding, I used Adobe Color Wheel to create a complementary color profile with purple. The warm green is used to jump out of the screen, while the purple balances the temperature.

plantjungle.com for the logo and green color. Adobe Color Wheel was used to create a complementary color palette.
unsplash.com/photos/R53 - background paper texture.
stock.adobe.com/images/ - background for header.
Fonts used: Bodoni 72 Oldstyle, Tomarik Display, and Massilia
The logo is unfortunately fuzzy, I could not find a higher-resolution version. Maybe I will try to make it a vector image when I revise this design.
