This is a cover for an impact statement created by Oregon Environmental Group (a fake group made up for the project).
The design demonstrates my ability to use adjustment layers and color to create an excellent image. Additionally, I used type design and a unique crop to create a professional yet interesting cover.
Contrast: A lot of negative space leads to a high-contrast design. Between the text, I utilize color and line weight to create contrast between the two lines of text.
Repetition: Not a lot in this design, but the image cropping is repeated to create intrigue and strong lines.
Alignment: A center alignment works in this scenario to make a professional feel. The text also aligns with both the left and right sides of the image which creates leading lines to the photograph.
Proximity: The year is kept near the title to associate the information.
Color: A blue color is used to encourage trust in The River Accord. The Impact Statement is a gray tone to connect with the photograph.
Font: Two fonts are used: a professional-looking script font in addition to a sans-serif.
