The CAS Timeline displays the student's CAS projects/experiences over time. It provides a visual representation of a student's CAS progress and allows for the tracking of the duration a student has been working on CAS. In addition, it allows students to view the distribution of their CAS strands and determine if they have any gaps in their timeline which could hinder their performance by placing them on concern.
TIP: Use the CAS Timeline to view the distribution of your CAS Strands. Ensure you have a balanced distribution of red, blue, and green!

What happens if you end up with a gap in your timeline?
Students who are unable to meet the 18-month requirement for CAS will risk being placed on concern and failing CAS. This means they will not receive their IB diploma as CAS is a mandatory part of the core curriculum.
If I get a gap is there a way to make up for it?
Students who end up with a gap on their timeline will be required to work throughout their breaks (Such as the summer break) in order to catch up on their CAS work. If you fall behind on your CAS or get a gap in your timeline, consult with your advisor for help!
