World Autism Awareness Day

On World Autism Awareness Day, let us stand together, support each other and show solidarity with persons with autism.

Did You Know that, every autistic person has a unique combination of strengths & challenges. The term Autism Spectrum refers to a range of characteristics. Appropriate support, accommodation and acceptance of this neurological variation allow those on the Spectrum to enjoy equal opportunity, and full and effective participation in society.

The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the Day by the resolution A/RES/62/139 under the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities. The purpose of the International Autism Federation is to promote global awareness of autism.
