Bethlehem

In the Bible

1. Naomi and her family came from Bethlehem and she and Ruth returned there where Ruth worked for, and then married, Boaz.

2. David was born and grew up in Bethlehem.

3. Samuel came to Bethlehem in order to anoint the next king. God showed him it would be David.

4. Joseph and Mary had been required to travel to Bethlehem for Caesar Augustus' census since Joseph was of the house and line of David.

5. Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

6. Herod ordered that all of the boys on Bethlehem, under the age of 2, were to be murdered.
