For an explanation of the numbered sites go to https://www.bible-history.com/map_jesus/
Many of the places Jesus went are not named in the Bible. For example, He was transfigured "on a high mountain" (e.g. Matthew 17:1) but which mountain? There is the traditional site (Mt Tabor) and other suggestions. Each tries to best fit the biblical data but the biblical data is insufficient for certainty. Some events clearly happened on beaches of the Sea of Galilee but which beaches?
On other occasions, Jesus is said to simply be in a certain region. For example, the Matthew 16:13 says that Jesus was in the region of Caesarea Philippi when He asked the disciples who people said the Son of Man was. It is highly likely that His purpose was to expose the disciples to the paganism practiced at Caesarea Philippi but the text does not say that.
We also know that Jesus went to many more places than are named. For example, Matthew 9:35 says that "Jesus went through all of the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom and healing every disease and sickness." However, only a handful of towns are named.
The following lists include only those places named but they give an indication of Jesus' travels.
