Matthew, Mark and Luke all record the Transfiguration, when Jesus, accompanied by Peter, james and John, began to glow very brightly and was joined by Moses and Elijah.
The traditional site is The Mount of Transfiguration, Mount Tabor, but there are other contenders: Mt Moran and Mt Hermon.
