Welcome to the team!
As an Audience Assistant you will be a host and friendly face to our audience. You will check tickets and help ensure the audience’s smooth entrance and exit to and from the screening rooms. Moreover, you will keep the rooms clean and proper and every so often sit inside of the room during the film to keep an eye out for any calamities. Sometimes you will be asked to fulfill a host position and welcome visitors of the festival to the venue.
During the festival, you will be coordinated by the Assistant Location Managers of the venue who will be responsible for your tasks during your shift.

Calling in sick / changing shifts
Calling in sick / changing shifts
If you are sick, please call the Location Manager of your location to inform them. You can find their contact details on the tab 'Contact & Locations'.
If you want to change a shift, please first check if you can change a shift with a fellow volunteer. If you do, always let your Location Manager and the Volunteer Coordinators know.
If that does not work, please email the Volunteer Coordinators at volunteers@iffr.com.

You can create your schedule via the Shiftpicker. Please check your email for a direct (personal) link to the Shiftpicker platform.
For an overview of your shifts, please check the confirmation email you received after scheduling your shifts.
Note: these schedules are preliminary. In the beginning of January, you will receive an updated, final schedule based on the IFFR confirmed programme.
