We do not want financial difficulty to prevent anyone from participating in CGS formation. Financial Aid and discounts for volunteers are available, as are modified payment schedules.
Generally, a participant's church or school will cover a significant portion of the training. At minimum, participants are expected to pay the $100 deposit and the $70-100 for the books (available at a discount at our church/training, or from cgsusa but with added shipping costs). If you volunteer at Immaculate Conception, you only need to pay the deposit and for the books.
If a participant and their community can pay for some but not all of the tuition, participants can apply for CGSUSA'S Tina Lillig Memorial Fund. You must first be a member of CGSUSA (enroll here). They will pay up to a third of the cost (~$200) if your church or school pays another third, and you pay a third.
You can also pay throughout the year by setting up a payment plan with us.
For example:
Participant pays $100 deposit for Part 1 and $100 for Part 2
Participant pays $70 for books at the first session
Their church pays $100 for Part 1 and $100 in September for Part 2
Tina Lillig Memorial Fund pays for $200
