The materials used in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd are not meant to lead to the formation of concepts, but to a vital encounter with a real Person. Therefore, we can say that the child's use of the materials leads not to the consideration of ideas, but to prayer. They are not only an aid to learning; they are an aid to religious life itself.
