Holy Week /  Semana Santa

We wish everyone a blessed Holy Week!  The summit of the Liturgical Year is the Easter Triduum - from the evening of Holy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday.  Triduum is Latin for "Three Days."  Although chronologically three days, they are liturgically one day which unfolds for us the unity of Christ's Pascal Mystery.  This single celebration of the Triduum marks the end of the Lenten season, and leads to the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord at the Easter Vigil Saturday night.

Although we may be unable to celebrate the Triduum as usual, here are some ways that your family, also known as the Domestic Church, can enter more fully into this great celebration.

¡Les deseamos a todos una feliz Semana Santa! La cumbre del Año Litúrgico es el Triduo Pascual, desde la tarde del Jueves Santo hasta la tarde del Domingo de Pascua. Triduum en latín significa "Tres días". Aunque cronológicamente son tres días, litúrgicamente son un día que nos revela la unidad del Misterio Pascual de Cristo. Esta única celebración del Triduo marca el final del tiempo de Cuaresma y conduce a la Misa de la Resurrección del Señor en la Vigilia Pascual el sábado por la noche.

Aunque es posible que no podamos celebrar el Triduo como de costumbre, aquí hay algunas formas en que su familia, también conocida como la Iglesia Doméstica, puede participar más plenamente en esta gran celebración.
