All in all İstanbul Avrupa Araştırmaları Derneği (IAAD) aims at readdressing youth needs through inclusive training with a set of activities aiming at tackling Youth current issues within a long term strategy (2017-2021). Such issues are namely employment, active citizenship, human rights and social changes.
On Youth employment, we are actively working and networking with practitioners, policy-makers and curriculum researchers to create innovative strategies for initial training and lifelong learning strategies, aiming at generating long-term and sustainable Youth employment.
On education and training, we are readdressing learning concepts with inclusive and realistic approaches to provide accurate answers to the employment panorama, considering the current European context (policies and recommendations), with continuously updated surveys and research outcomes.
On social change, IAAD's initiative Youth Forward aim at fostering social entrepreneurship through the development of Youth initiatives from Civil Society Organizations and active citizens’ networks such as the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe, The European Youth Platform, to name but a few, with a shared passion for solving environmental and social issues, aiming at generating a sustainable and equitable growth.
On sport and recreational activities, IAAD develops on promoting healthy behaviours whilst raising awareness on the Global Education Network of Young Europeans (GLEN) guiding principles, and related societal challenges such as migration, equal opportunity, sustainability, gender equality, social justice, fair trade, globalisation and interdependence, identity and cultural diversity.
