OVERVIEW

Keys to Giving Back (K2GB) aims to tackle the challenge of promoting an active ageing population to allow for social cohesion and higher productivity, in particular for the newly retired, allowing them to successfully transfer their years of experience and knowledge to a younger generation of associations, businesses and entrepreneurs.

However, transferring knowledge and know-how does not always come naturally and can be frustrating to those who don't have prior teaching or coaching experience. Therefore, through K2GB, we will focus on developing teaching methods for those interested in passing on their competences.

Partner will develop research in the domain of intergenerational exchange in their region. They will identify the target organisations and potential areas of implementation in their respective geographical areas, identify the training needs of each target organisation and measure the potential impact of dissemination.

A survey will be created based on the target organisations’ needs, to identify the difficulties seniors have in transferring their skills in each partner country. The survey will then be distributed to organisations working in the domain of intergenerational exchange and transfer of knowledge by the partner organisations. The results of this survey will be correlated by the partners, and a summary will be created and distributed between the participating intergenerational organisations.
