Miami University is also developing an effective mentoring system that supports students in high school, college, and diverse teachers as they enter districts.

Miami University Scholarships for Teach Now!

Miami University is a subrecipient of a grant secured by Wright State from the Ohio Department of Higher Education.   This grant addresses the severe shortage of teachers, particularly Intervention specialists, math, and science teachers.  Also, districts have difficulty recruiting for middle and high school positions.

Miami University is working with other four-year universities to recruit individuals interested in obtaining teacher degrees who have enough credits so that they are within one or at most wo years of obtaining a teacher degree.
