The old lighthouse had always been a source of fascination for the people in the nearby town. But no one dared to venture inside, not after the tragic incident that had taken place years ago.
One night, a group of friends decided to explore the lighthouse. They crept through the dark, winding staircases, their flashlights illuminating the way.
As they reached the top, they saw a figure standing at the edge of the balcony. It was a woman, her long hair blowing in the wind. She looked out at the sea, lost in thought.
The friends approached her cautiously, calling out to her. But she didn't respond. She just stood there, staring out at the water.
Suddenly, the woman turned around. Her face was twisted in an expression of pure terror. She began to scream, a piercing, bloodcurdling sound that echoed through the lighthouse.
The friends tried to calm her down, but she continued to scream. And then, as suddenly as she had appeared, she was gone. The friends were left alone on the balcony, shaken and confused.
They later learned that the woman had been a lighthouse keeper who had lost her husband in a storm years ago. She had gone mad with grief and had thrown herself off the balcony, plunging to her death on the rocks below.
Her ghost was said to haunt the lighthouse, and she would sometimes appear to visitors, warning them of the dangers of the sea. The friends could never forget the horror of that night, and they never returned to the lighthouse again.
