This guide will mainly be aimed at players who have unlocked Race Summoner + Race Tower skins which give you 15% and 10% racial chance respectively.
At the start of the game everyone will pretty much have the same starting build regardless of which race you choose to go in the end.
When you place your first 4 towers, make sure you place them like the image to the left because the number 1 priority in the early game is getting the Goblin Shredder since he generates lots of wood for you early to roll with or tech up. (Goblin Shredder has short range)
If you don’t get a Goblin Shredder in your first 4 towers don’t roll for it because it will put you further behind if you don’t manage to get it.
For the rest of the towers you can look for good early synergies. (If you have other stats or tomes upgrades and you are comfortable with clearing you can start looking for Sorceress and Naga Sirens.
The goal now is to save up 1,000 gold and 50 wood to get your first food upgrade and increase the cap to 6/6. After that build 5 T1 towers and get the first Temple of the Tides upgrade for 10 wood.
After that roll 2 T2 towers by using the Moon Key (5 wood) and take the first 2 T2 you get and then get the second Temples of the Tides upgrade for 50 wood. Once you have reached Temple of the Tides II, you can now follow one of the guides below. This should all be done before the first Gold Peasant as a goal.
If you are using Goblin Merchant Ship make sure you enable it first before placing your first 4 towers to increase the chance of Goblin Shredder
Similar to the tip above, don't enable your race summoner and tower until you’ve placed your first 4 towers to increase the chances as well.
If you are using Thor’s rod use it after you have selected your race summoner and tower. (after you build the first 4 towers and don’t see any Goblin Shredders and have selected your starting towers)
The Human race is a very well rounded build and is strong early and to the end game. Humans are also very versatile, meaning that you can go multiple different builds with a combination of powerful T3 towers such as Mountain King, Admiral Proudmoore, Marine and Kael. Black Dragon will be the best option but if you don’t have level 4 Black Dragon, Yellow Dragon is an excellent choice for early game and late game excellence chance.
With the addition of Admiral Proudmoore to the Human lineup, you are now able to fully clear the mid-game without the worry of Mountain King running out of mana and the issue that most Human players struggle with early and that's the lack of items for Mountain King.
After the first Gold Peasant you should have Temple of Tides II and now your goal is to get your towers to be strong enough to kill Revenant 1 and 3, also will be preparing to deal high damage for Gold Peasant 2. You should be rolling with Moon Key (5 Wood) until you max all your T1 towers while getting Gryphon Rider and Dragonhawk Rider.
For humans you’ll be looking for Gryphon Rider and Dragonhawk Rider. Ideally you want to have 2 Dragonhawk Riders like the image, for the rest of the towers you want Sorceress and Naga Siren to prepare for late game. Goblin Shredder should be kept for as long as possible due to the wood it generates for you.
If you have killed Revenant 1 and 3, you have 8500 gold and120 wood you’ll be able to get Human Altar and get your first T3 tower, since it's so expensive generally it is better to do it after Gold Peasant 2.
After you finish rolling Moon Keys for T1 towers (Max Sorceress, Naga Siren and Goblin Shredder) you can start rolling with Ghost Key(20 Wood) looking for Gryphon Rider and Dragonhawk Rider, since there is a chance you get an early T3 and being able to deal more damage to Gold Peasant or upgrade to Temple of Tides III early.
Before you start rolling right after Gold Peasant 1 make sure you upgrade your wood upgrade to max.
As for the T3 towers from the hero altar reward you will be placing Admiral Proudmoore and Mountain King.
Right after you get 7/7 and achieve your “Positioning Mid Game” you can start placing your Lava Spawn and hopefully getting a Firelord, this means that you will have 3 T3 towers in order to upgrade to Temple of Tides IV, afterwards you can sit at 8/8 food from Revenant quest. After summoning 2 Dragons you’ll have 2 Magic Keys which will allow you to bypass the food cap and reach 5 T3 towers for your last Temple of Tides upgrade.
It’s pretty self-explanatory from here on out, Mountain King is your carry along with Admiral Proudmoore and if you are able to then get Kael 5 but if not, Kael 1 or 3 will be enough just to hold items for you and support.
Due to the positioning of Dragonhawk Rider, he is only able to buff himself and your carry towers as long as there are no towers on the right side. If units start getting stunned just make sure you manually cast Dragonhawk Rider’s skill since his spellcast range is longer than his auto-attack range.
Once you get Temple of Tides V you can start rolling for T3 towers with Blood Key(50 Wood) and since there's a 25% chance to get a T3 you should almost always get a T3. If you haven’t gotten Ankh and Dragonhawk Rider 5 yet, you should aim to do that as well by rolling Moon Key (5 Wood). This is also the point where you are able to roll Human T2 units for your teammates via Moon Key(5 Wood).
Due to this build having very little options to slow/stun Valkyr it is recommended to get Wand of Lightning on Naga Siren and Lava Spawn, those 2 should be enough for the Valkyr to not run away. If you want to be safe you can put more Wand of Lightning or Orb of Lightning on Gryphon Rider, Dragonhawk Rider or Firelord.
Of course it's unlikely to get that many potions items but these are the best case scenario items. Below I will show you a few item alternatives that you can use for your Mountain King and Admiral Proudmoore.
If you manage to get Kael 3 or 5, these are the items you want to aim for.
The Orc Race has one special mechanic that other races don’t have and that is the stacking mechanic that allows Grom and Thrall to gain stats over time via kills. Black Dragon will be the best option for Grom but if you don’t have level 4 Black Dragon, Yellow Dragon is an excellent choice for early-game and late-game excellence chance. Blue Dragon will be the best option for Thrall.
After the first Gold Peasant you should have Temple of Tides II and now your goal is to get your towers to be strong enough to kill Revenant 1 and 3, also will be preparing to deal high damage for Gold Peasant 2. You should be rolling with Moon Key (5 Wood) until you max all your T1 towers while getting Farseer and Shadow Hunter.
For Orcs you’ll be looking for Farseer and Shadow Hunter like the image depending what you get (preferably 2 Shadow Hunter). For the rest of the towers you want Sorceress and Naga Siren to prepare for late game. Goblin Shredder should be kept for as long as possible due to the wood it generates for you.
If you have killed Revenant 1 and 3, you have 8500 gold and 120 wood you’ll be able to get Orc Altar and get your first T3 tower, since it's so expensive generally it is better to do it after Gold Peasant 2.
For Orc you won’t be using Farseer or Shadow Hunter for your future builds if you go down the Grom Hellscream path but if you are going Thrall you will need Farseer so it is worth it to roll for Farseer since it does high damage with the Thrall build, otherwise just aim to have a board that is strong enough to kill Revenant.
Grom Hellscream requires 3 Orc T2 towers and because of that if you are going Grom Hellscream it is recommended to grab those early as well so when you get Hero Altar you’ll be able to get the synergy immediately and start stacking stats. Thrall unfortunately requires Uther so you’ll need someone else to roll it for you or get lucky.
Before you start rolling right after Gold Peasant 1 make sure you upgrade your wood upgrade to max.
Right after you get 7/7 and achieve your “Positioning Mid Game” you can start rolling for a 3rd T3, hopefully you get something that is useful such as Uther or another Thrall, but take any T3 you get because you want to upgrade Temple of Tides as soon as possible. Once you have 3 T3 towers in order to upgrade to Temple of Tides IV, afterwards you can sit at 8/8 food cap from Revenant Quest. After summoning 2 Dragons you’ll have 2 Magic Keys which will allow you to bypass the food cap and reach 5 T3 towers for your last Temple of Tides upgrade.
It’s pretty self-explanatory from here on out, Thrall will be your primary carry along with Farseer. The most important thing is trying to get that Uther early so you can start stacking Wisdom Points, you can get a max of 285 Wisdom Points and ideally, you want both of your Thrall to have 285 stacks. You can achieve this by asking other Human players to trade Uther or using Magic Keys from Dragon to roll it.
Once you get Temple of Tides V you can start rolling for T3 towers with Blood Key(50 Wood) and since there's a 25% chance to get a T3 you should almost always get a T3. If you haven’t gotten Ankh and Farseer 5 yet, you should aim to do that as well by rolling Moon Key (5 Wood). This is also the point where you are able to roll Orc T2 units for your teammates via Moon Key(5 Wood).
You can stack Thrall Wisdom Points faster by summoning Jungle Stalkers (45 Wood) gold quest for 50 more monsters. It is also recommended to stop Farseer and other towers from casting to not steal kills. Once one of the Thrall is stacked you can teleport it away and put the important items on the other Thrall to finish stacking that one as well.
Unlike the other builds where there aren’t many options to slow/stun the Valkyr to a halt the trick with Thrall builds is actually going Chill Rod, Chill rod gives an extra 33% damage due to Thrall + Jaina + Sorceress synergy that gives him extra damage against frozen enemies, Chill Rod along with 1-2 Wands of Lightning will be enough, if you want to be extra safe you and put more Wands of Lightning and Orbs of Lightning at the top right corner towers too. Make the most of Chill Rod as well, when it is Gold Peasant.
Of course, it's unlikely to get that many potion items but these are the best-case scenario items. Below I will show you a few item alternatives that you can use for your Thrall and Farseer.
If you have Farseer Avatar then make sure to use it since Thrall Avatar doesn’t actually help increase your damage for Valkyr and you can already clear the game normally without it.
Right after you get 7/7 and achieve your “Positioning Mid Game” you can start rolling for a 3rd T3, hopefully you get something that is useful such as Grom or Pitlord, but take any T3 you get because you want to upgrade Temple of Tides as soon as possible.
It’s pretty self-explanatory from here on out, Grom Hellscream will be your primary carry along with Pitlord. The most important thing is getting Agi stacks for your Grom, you can get a max of 200 stacks (250 stacks with Grom Avatar) and ideally, you want Grom to be at max stacks. You can achieve this by placing Grom in a position where the wave will stack up before his spell kills all of them at once (refer to “Positioning Mid Game” Grom position). The trick is to have Long Rifle (increased range) at level 2 to reach the wave.
Once you get Temple of Tides V you can start rolling for T3 towers with Blood Key(50 Wood) and since there's a 25% chance to get a T3 you should almost always get a T3. If you haven’t gotten Ankh and Beastmaster 5 yet, you should aim to do that as well by rolling Moon Key (5 Wood). This is also the point where you are able to roll Orc T2 units for your teammates via Moon Key(5 Wood).
You can stack Grom faster by summoning Jungle Stalkers (45 Wood) gold quest for 50 more monsters. It is also recommended to stop Pit Lord and other towers from casting to not steal kills. Once Grom is fully stacked you can teleport it to “Positioning Final” and move all the towers to the correct spots.
Due to this build having very little options to slow/stun Valkyr it is recommended to get Wand of Lightning on Naga Siren, Lava Spawn and Sorceress, those 3 should be enough for the Valkyr to not run away. If you want to be safe you can put more Wand of Lightning or Orb of Lightning on Tauren Chieftain, Blademaster or Beastmaster.
Of course it's unlikely to get that many potions items but these are the best case scenario items. Below I will show you a few item alternatives that you can use for your Grom and Pitlord.
If you can get a Kael in the build as well for Pitlord Synergy that would greatly help damage along with the armour reduction from Phoenix. Not a huge deal if you can’t, don’t forcefully roll for it and if it comes get it via sharing or lucky roll.
