Highway Data Systems Limited is committed to full compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and are dedicated to running our business ethically, transparently, and with integrity.
Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, human trafficking, child labour, and forced or compulsory labour. Highway Data Systems Limited is committed to ensuring that none of these practices take place in any part of our operations or supply chain.
To prevent modern slavery, Highway Data Systems Limited:
Ensures all employees are eligible to work in the UK and are paid well above the living and minimum wage.
Sources equipment and services from reputable suppliers, primarily based in the UK and EU.
Requires all suppliers and contractors to confirm their own compliance with the Modern Slavery Act and to apply the same standards throughout their supply chains.
Reserves the right to terminate contracts with any supplier found to be involved in modern slavery practices.
Provides a confidential reporting mechanism so staff can raise concerns about unethical or illegal practices without fear of reprisal.
Before engaging suppliers, we conduct appropriate due diligence to confirm their ethical standards and commitment to eliminating modern slavery. Suppliers must:
Certify that they have taken measures to eradicate modern slavery from their operations.
Ensure their own supply chains meet the same requirements.
Demonstrate fair treatment and fair pay for all workers.
Employees and suppliers are encouraged to raise any concerns about unethical practices. Concerns can be reported directly to management, and will be investigated promptly and confidentially.
