Can-do Statements

Spoken Reception (SR)

• Can understand and extract the essential information from short, recorded passages dealing with predictable everyday matters, especially if clearly articulated (A2) 

• Can take part in a simple conversation of a basic factual nature on a predictable topic.

• Can understand the main points of radio news bulletins and recorded material about familiar subjects (B1) 

• Can follow the main points in short TV programs or video clips on familiar topics (B1)   

Spoken Production (SP):

• Can give a short, rehearsed, basic presentation on a familiar subject (A2) 

• Can start and end a simple phone call to an expert using formulaic expressions

Written Reception (WR):

• Can understand the main points made in informational texts that deal with the topic (adapted CEFR A2)

Written Production (WP):

• Can plan and write texts and diary entries, and use vocabulary from BANDS I and II (adapted CEFR A2) 

• Can create and share original digital products online.

Spoken Interaction (SI):

• Can interact with reasonable ease in structured situations, short social exchanges, and conversations using vocabulary from Bands I & II.

• Can reply in an interview to simple direct questions about personal details
