“Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.” – Joseph Pilates
Rationale
This project is suitable for Junior High students.
It is important that students understand how important a healthy lifestyle is. Students will look at different areas of their life, such as eating well, sleeping well and doing sports. They will learn about developing good eating habits and discuss types of foods associated with their own cultures and traditions. In addition, students will also learn about the importance of exercise to keep their bodies and minds functioning well.
By watching videos and looking at different texts, learning new vocabulary, working in teams to create real-life assignments and creating digital content that they will present in class, students will be introduced to the importance of team work and collaboration.
Students will present what they have learned either by creating a podcast, a hi-tech or low-tech poster, a ppt, or any suitable presentation tool.
