Content and Procedure
Rationale
Finding solutions to hunger around the world is an important project for students who will learn about several issues regarding the problem of hunger around the world and potential solutions.
Stage 1: Take the following Quiz on hunger to check your knowledge of the subject: World Hunger.
Stage 2: Students learn relevant vocabulary from Band 2, in particular, so that they can understand the texts/articles and can discuss and share their ideas. Go to the vocabulary section and learn them.
Stage 4:

Divide your class into teams of 3-4 students. Ask them to think about ways to help those in need.

Assignment:
Write an email about the causes of hunger around the world and send it to different people who can help students in their projects to find solutions for starvation around the world/the community. You could send it to your teachers, parents, and friends.
Contact local organizations to find information about poverty in your community and how to help those in need.
Stage 7: Google Form

Assignment:
Create your own quiz with the help of your teacher by using Google Forms. The video teaches you how to create your form
With your team, think of questions for your survey
Share the link with classmates, teachers, parents, friends, etc.
Share the results with people in your circle.
Stage 8: Interview
(SI)=Can interact with reasonable ease in structured situations, short social exchanges, and conversations using vocabulary from Bands I & II.
Assignment:
Use your smartphone recorder or download Voice Recorder from the Store to interview different people from the community/organization, asking them about the causes of hunger and how they could solve the problem or end it.
Possible questions could be:
How do you feel about hunger in the world?
What causes hunger in some countries?
What solutions can you think of it?
Stage 9: Final Products

Using Podcasts allows students to build their self-confidence by expressing themselves in English in a way that is relevant to them in the digital age where everyone has an opinion about something!

Assignment:
Each student-teams create a video about hunger and send it to their community/friends. They might create their own YouTube channel to identify the causes of hunger and possible solutions to end hunger among people.
Share your final product with the public.
Steps for Recording:
Identify ideas related to the assignment topic.
Outline the contents of the recording. This could be a mind map or flowchart.
Develop a script to use as a guide while recording.
Rehearse the script several times to facilitate recordings.
Think about sound effects.
Record the video in one take if possible.
