Using PowerPoint Presentation
PowerPoint presentation is a software that allows users to create a presentation of several slides that can include text, images, charts, graphs, videos, and other types of media.
The purpose of using PowerPoint for presentation is to improve the students’ communicative skills, digital literacy, creativity ,and preparation for future career opportunities.
To learn how to create PowerPoint slides, follow the following steps and watch the video.
Open a blank PowerPoint
Add a title (choose the font and color you want)
Choose the design and background you want
Write the content of your presentation
Recording in PowerPoint
Recording on PowerPoint is a feature that allows users to create a presentation with a voiceover. This built-in feature captures the user’s voice as they go through the slides.
In this task, record yourself talking about the slides you created for Task 1.
After that, share the link on Moodle for your teacher to grade by clicking on “Add submission” below
To get started with recording in PowerPoint you need to follow the following steps:
Open the PowerPoint
Find “Slide Show” tab on the top
Click on “Record” and then select “From Beginning” to start recording
Click “Record” on the top left side to start talking about your slide. You have 2 options:
Have voice recording only by turning off your camera on the bottom right side.
Have video recording by turning on your camera on the bottom right side.
You can use the “laser pointer” or the “pen” to point at certain information or write on the slide.
Use the arrow on the side to move between slides.
Click on the “X” on the top right side. The recording will appear on the slide.
Save the PowerPoint presentation and upload it to Moodle.

Plan your recording content beforehand
Use a script or outline to keep your video on track
Speak clearly and slowly
Practice your presentation before recording
After learning how to use PowerPoint and the build-in Recording for the PowerPoint presentation, it’s time to create and record your slides.
Assignment:
Part 1:
Creat PowerPoint Presentation
Create a PowerPoint about any of the following topics (you might choose yours )
Introduce ChatGPT to your classmates telling them what it is and how it works
Discuss the ethical side of using ChatGPT for assignments
Reflect how ChatGPT will affect students
Explain how ChatGPT will improve your language learning
Write up to 4 slides about the topic as follows:
Slide 1: what is ChatGPT in your opinion
Slide 2: List some advantages/disadvantage of ChatGPT
Slide 3: Focus on the topic you will talk about (You can choose from the topics above)
Slide 4: What can ChatGPT do in the future (connect it to your selected topic)
Task 2:
Recording in PowerPoint
Follow the previous instructions and record your voice on the slides to explain the content of your PowerPoint presentation.
Click on “Add submission” to upload the PowerPoint presentation with the records on Moodle so that your teacher could grade it.
